Things were good....

Syd's stitches were doing great, but remember how I told you about that target on her.  Chris can see it, though I cannot.  He was angry with me because he was being made to clean his room.  She entered his room and this further irritated him and he kicked her, unintentionally on her stitches but, hit them dead on. This was at noon.  At 7ish she started to complain about her leg hurting and not being able to put full pressure on it when she walked, by 8 she couldn't walk on it any more so I finally looked at it.  It was huge swollen and red, and it appeared that the earlier kick popped one of the stitches.  I called our doctor friend Rob, who it turned out was on his way to work for the night.  We were told to ice it and see him today (the day he was going to take them out originally).  So we got ice on her leg and Matt was helping her get off the stool and noticed that she was really hot, 101 degrees to be exact.  I texted Rob, and he decided that he did want to see her.  Off to Layton we drove and she got her stitches 12 hours early, but because her leg was swollen they had to dig them out.  It was sad, she has endured a lot lately, she still cannot hold her head straight. She did get a toy from the security guard at the hospital though. It was 1 a.m. when she finally got to bed.

So today we made carmel corn for Rob and his family and took it to them.  He said that her leg looked good and hopefully, fingers crossed, it will heal up without incident.

Thanks Rob for all your help. It's very appreciated.

Sydney, You should sit on the couch and not get up for a week or so! Hope you feel better soon!
